Over the last few months, the Miami Dolphins have overhauled their roster, especially the wide receiver room, as they attempt another rebuild under a new regime in 2026.
Among the newcomers to the position group in South Florida this year is Tutu Atwell, who joined the Dolphins after five seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, where he caught 105 passes for 1,535 yards and five touchdowns.
With Atwell potentially being the team’s top wide receiver heading into training camp, there are a lot of questions about how good the room will be in 2026. However, Atwell recently explained why Dolphins fans should have confidence in their wideouts.
“I feel like we got a good group, a lot of good guys, a lot of guys that played and had some time to play in the league,” Atwell told Cameron Wolfe earlier this week. “We’re all grinding, and we all have something to prove. We got a lot of great guys in the receiver room. Malik [Washington], J.T. [Jalen Tolbert], T. Marsh [Terracce Marshall Jr.] and a lot of young guys. I feel like we’ll do a great job this season.
The Dolphins may have a few wide receivers with experience in the NFL, but none of them have been overly productive. The team is probably hoping that rookies Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell can become real contributors at some point this season to help Malik Willis.
On good teams, Atwell and Tolbert would be the third-best wide receiver, and if they’re topping the depth chart, things will be difficult for Miami this year.
