With the 2025-26 NBA season complete and the draft in the rearview mirror, basketball fans can look forward to summer league play, which will begin just days from now. As far as the Los Angeles Lakers are concerned, they will have a couple of intriguing players taking part.
Adou Thiero, the 6-foot-7 forward who was a rookie this season, has said he will participate in summer league after dealing with some injuries over the past year and change. Cameron Carr, the No. 24 pick in this week’s draft, is expected to play, along with a number of undrafted rookies, including Syracuse University big man William Kyle III.
The schedule for the Las Vegas summer league has been released, and the Lakers’ first game will take place on Friday, July 10 at 7 p.m. Pacific time against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The following evening at 7 p.m., they will take on the Dallas Mavericks.
They will then have two full days off before they play the Los Angeles Clippers at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14. The Lakers will then face the Chicago Bulls on July 16 at 3 p.m.
The game against Dallas will be shown on ESPN, and the other three contests can be seen on Prime Video.
More games could be added to the end of the schedule depending on how teams do as they battle for a spot in the summer league postseason.
Before the main Las Vegas summer league, the Lakers will play in the California Classic, starting next Friday, July 3, when they play against the Golden State Warriors. They will then go up against the Miami Heat at 1:30 p.m. on July 5 and the San Antonio Spurs at 4:30 p.m. on July 6.
