Duos Edge AI recently held ribbon cuttings and open houses for two new data centers in the Texas Panhandle, located in Dumas and Hereford.
According to the company, local business and economic development leaders expect the Dumas and Hereford Edge Data Centers (EDCs) will expand high‑speed connectivity and support new AI and cloud workloads across the region.
Executives from Duos Edge AI including Doug Recker, CEO of Duos Technologies Group, representatives from the local Chambers of Commerce, and officials with the Dumas Independent School District and Hereford ISD were on hand at the events held June 16 and 18 to discuss the facility’s anticipated impact on local businesses, education, and healthcare.
A company representative said after the opening in Hereford, “The event went extremely well, and we received strong local support from the Hereford community, including school, business, and civic leaders. Dr. Carter, Superintendent of Hereford ISD, and everyone involved were very supportive and great collaborators in helping share accurate information about what we are doing.”
Duos Edge AI, the edge data center development arm of Duos Technologies Group, said it is launching the facilities to bring carrier‑neutral, AI‑ready infrastructure closer to Dumas and Hereford businesses and institutions.
The new EDCs will be operated by Duos Edge AI and its team of experienced professionals in managing state-of-the-art data centers. The company said the EDCs are built to Tier III standards and provide scalable infrastructure capable of adapting to the community’s evolving needs. According to the company, Duos Edge AI will “support advanced connectivity without operational water consumption.”
The sites are designed to support regional carriers, enterprises, schools, and healthcare providers that need low‑latency access to cloud, AI, and data‑intensive applications.
The facilities will connect to major carriers in the region, with the goal of growing local economies.
