Ticket options dwindling for Savannah Bananas' return to Iowa City

Banana Ball arrives in Iowa for the July Fourth holiday, and tickets are vanishing quickly for the Savannah Bananas’ return to the Hawkeye State.

The Bananas will play two games in Iowa City at Kinnick Stadium, home of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team. The games will be played July 3-4 and will feature the Bananas taking on The Firefighters, a fellow Banana Ball Championship League team.

How to get Savannah Bananas at Kinnick Stadium 2026 tickets

A few tickets for the July 3–4 games are still available through the Iowa athletics ticketing platform and online resale marketplaces, as the Bananas’ official ticket lottery closed on Oct. 31, 2025. Savannah Bananas tickets start at $35 when purchased through the lottery.

Only premium club and suite tickets for Friday and Saturday’s games are still available on the official Iowa athletics ticketing website, starting at $175.

Tickets can also be purchased on third‑party platforms like StubHub. Prices on StubHub are generally lower for the July 4 game, starting at $79, and climb to around $100 for the July 3 game.

In addition to Kinnick Stadium, the Savannah Bananas have games at Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium, Florida State’s Doak Campbell Stadium, Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium, North Carolina’s Kenan Stadium, Oregon’s Autzen Stadium and Texas A&M’s Kyle Field on the 2026 schedule.

What is Savannah Bananas’ baseball?

The Bananas are a travel ball team known for their choreographed dances, unique rules, wild walk-ups and entertaining antics. Rosters are typically composed of former college, minor‑league and independent‑league players, with a few earning chances in MLB organizations after their Banana Ball stint.

The Bananas previously played five games at Principal Park in Des Moines in 2023 and 2024, all of which sold out.

Some of Bananas’ most viral moments have featured celebrity cameos by John Cena, Russell Wilson, Olivia Dunne and more. The roster this season includes Broadway star Derek Klena, who played baseball for UCLA before leaving college for Broadway.

More than 2.2 million fans attended Banana Ball games in 40 cities during the 2025 season, according to the Savannah Morning News.
