Lakers jersey history No. 95 — Juan Toscano-Anderson

Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

During the Lakers’ 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

Juan Toscano-Anderson made his NBA debut during the 2019-20 season with the Golden State Warriors after spending a couple of years in the G League. Prior to that, he played pro basketball in Latin America for three years after going undrafted in 2015 out of Marquette University.

He signed with the Lakers as a free agent in the summer of 2022. During the 2022-23 season, the 6-foot-6 forward appeared in 30 games with them and averaged 2.7 points and two rebounds in 12.2 minutes a game during that span.

Then came the February 2023 trade that jettisoned Russell Westbrook from the Lakers and brought them D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley. Toscano-Anderson was also sent out in that trade, and he finished the year with the Utah Jazz, one of the three teams that took part in that deal.

After playing in 11 games for the Sacramento Kings during the following season, he headed to Italy to continue his basketball career. He has NBA career averages of 4.1 points, three rebounds and 1.8 assists in 15.5 minutes per game.
