At this point, Notre Dame fans will take expert commitment projections with a grain of salt, especially considering what happened last week with star linebacker Kaden Henderson.
Multiple predictions came in for him to land with the Irish, but ultimately he ended up picking Texas A&M. Hopefully that won’t be the case with another 5-star, offensive lineman Albert Simien. The 6-foot, 4-inch and 280-pounder will commit this coming Friday, and on Wednesday three experts at On3 (subscription required) believe that Notre Dame will be the pick.
Two of them flipped their predictions from the Aggies to the Irish, which is a bit bittersweet considering what happened with Henderson. However, this one seems a bit different, as Simien officially visited Notre Dame last, which the linebacker never got around to doing.
The hope is that these predictions are correct, and the Irish are adding the nation’s No. 14 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite on Friday.
