A Green Bay-based health care provider celebrated the start of construction of a new, larger pain and rehabilitation clinic in Bellevue.
BayCare Clinic officials, representatives of Keller and Village of Bellevue officials on June 23 held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new BayCare Clinic Pain & Rehab Medicine and Neuropsychology clinic at 1990 S. Huron Road, in Bellevue. The site is south of the Greater Green Bay YMCA’s East Side branch at 1740 S. Huron Road.
The 15,000-square-foot care facility will include 20 exam rooms, including two fluoroscopic-guided procedure suites that will allow BayCare to move some procedures out of hospitals. BayCare leaders said the capability to do pain and rehab procedures in clinics or office settings rather than hospitals aligns with general trends in providing care and offers a less-invasive, more convenient option to patients.
The new building will replace BayCare’s current pain and rehab clinic at 2041 Holmgren Way, in Ashwaubenon, which will close after the new clinic opens.
Keller expects to complete the new clinic in early 2027 so BayCare providers can begin seeing patients there by spring 2027. It’s expected that 13 providers and 30 support staff will work in the new clinic.
BayCare’s new clinic is the most recent development along South Huron Road and one Bellevue officials hopes will spur more interest and development along what the village is calling the Huron Road Corridor. The village in 2024 adopted a Huron Road Corridor Master Plan that envisions a roughly 1.5-mile mixed-use area along Huron Road from the Bellevue-Green Bay line to Kewaunee Road/State 29 intersection.
The plan calls for missing middle housing, which are housing unit types that fall between detached single-family homes and large, apartment-style multifamily buildings, along with more dense developments and more retail options to complement the village’s existing nearby businesses and residential neighborhoods. The plan also envisions slower traffic, destination businesses, mixed-use developments and open spaces.
