Which Jets player is under the most pressure in 2026?

The New York Jets believe they have a strong offensive supporting cast in place for quarterback Geno Smith.

The offensive line is littered with ascending talents, including offensive lineman Joe Tippmann, who just signed a lucrative contract extension. The playmaking core has Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and first-round picks Kenyon Sadiq and Omar Cooper Jr. at its disposal.

There are underrated possibilities for the Jets’ offense in 2026. That places some pressure on left tackle Olu Fashanu. The third-year pro is trying to protect Smith’s blind side while firmly establishing himself as a high-level left tackle.

That’s probably why Pro Football Network recently identified Fashanu as the Jets player under the most pressure in 2026.

“The New York Jets got incredible results out of 2025 first-round pick Armand Membou at right tackle immediately, but it’s been a slower process for their 2024 first-round pick, left tackle Olu Fashanu,” PFN wrote. “He improved his PFN OL Impact Score from 58.9 to 73.8 in the jump to Year 2, but he’s still behind other 2024 draft picks like Joe Alt, Amarius Mims, and Roger Rosengarten. Fashanu will need to continue to improve this year to secure a big extension.”

The Jets simply require Fashanu to be more consistent as a third-year pro in 2026. The former Penn State standout possesses every trait required to develop into a top-10 left tackle in the NFL. That adds the weight of expectation to Fashanu’s upcoming campaign.

Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 offseason.
