Wisconsin football receives highest projected win total since 2023

On3 recently took a deep dive on Bet MGM’s 2026 win totals for every Big Ten football team.

In an 18-team conference, Indiana and Oregon are currently at the top with an over/under line of 10.5 wins. Seeing as there are only 12 games in a college football season, those two are as good as it gets.

Purdue sits at the very bottom with a lousy over/under of 3.5 wins, a number no team in such a prestigious conference should have a problem achieving.

That said, Wisconsin Badgers fans feel the Boilermakers’ pain. Coming off back-to-back dreadful seasons without a bowl game appearance, Luke Fickell and company do seem to be trending in the right direction.

As of Wednesday, June 17, the Badgers’ projected win total was set at 6.5 games. Remember, this is a team that’s won a combined nine games in its last two seasons.

The last time Wisconsin won seven or more games in a season came in 2023. Prior to that, they had no problem reaching that win total consistently. Sadly, wins have come at a premium in the Fickell era, but the Badgers seem to be on the rise in 2026 and beyond.
