Police say 18-year-old died after overnight shooting in CUF

An 18-year-old is dead after a shooting in the CUF neighborhood in the early hours of June 21, according to a Cincinnati police news release.

District One officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Ravine Street at around 1 a.m. for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Cornelius Edrington Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound.

Cincinnati fire personnel attempted to save Edrington’s life but determined he had died.

The Cincinnati Police Department’s homicide unit is investigating the fatal shooting.

Police ask anyone with information to call the homicide unit at 513-352-3542.
