Six people were displaced after a fire at a Brown Street residence on Saturday, June 20, in the afternoon.
The Akron Fire Department responded to the fire, at 633 Brown St., at 12:26 p.m. Responding firefighters reported seeing heavy black smoke in the area, with a fire and smoke spotted in a multi-story residential structure.
The fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported. Red Cross was notified, and the Fire Investigation Unit was called to investigate the fire.
