The United States is ready for its second match in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The USMNT will face Australia on Friday, June 19, in Group D competition. Both teams won their first match of the World Cup. The United States defeated Paraguay, 4-1, on June 12 and Australia defeated Turkiye, 2-0, on June 12.
After Friday’s game, Both teams, both teams play on June 25. The United States plays Turkiye, and Australia takes on Paraguay.

Ricardo Pepi, Gio Reyna and Folarin Balogun are the top young players to watch for the USMNT. Pepi grew up in San Elizario, Texas, is about 20 miles from El Paso. Balogun and Reyna each scored goals in the USA’s 4-1 win vs. Paraguay in the World Cup opener on June 12.
