Resorts World plans to celebrate America’s semiquincentennial, marking the U.S. Declaration of Independence through A Day of Giving, awarding $250,000 to 25 nonprofit organizations across three regions in New York.
Five local organizations in the Hudson Valley, five in the Catskills and 15 in New York City will be chosen to receive $10,000 each through a random drawing.
“As we mark 250 years of our nation’s history,” Senior Vice President of Community Development and Public Affairs at Resorts World New York City Michelle Stoddart said in a statement, “we wanted to honor the moment in a way that reflects who we are and the neighborhoods we’re part of. From New York City to the Hudson Valley to the Catskills, this $250,000 commitment is about investing directly in the local organizations doing the work that makes our communities stronger. We can’t wait to see the applications come in.”
The application portal is open now until June 29.
