Cincinnati police arrested a Colerain Township man in connection with a fatal shooting this weekend in the Villages at Roll Hill.
Quincy Murray, 48, is charged with murder in the killing of 25-year-old Mikal Smith at the apartment complex June 13.
Around 9 p.m., officers found Smith with a gunshot wound. Cincinnati firefighters tried life-saving measures but determined he was dead on the scene.
Court documents say Murray used a handgun to kill Smith. Additional details were not immediately provided.
The department’s homicide unit continues to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call 513-352-3542.
Murray is expected to be arraigned in Hamilton County Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Smith was the third person to be fatally shot in the complex this year, according to a city database of reported shooting victims. In February, 19-year-old D’Ariz Bray and 22-year-old Micah Willis were fatally shot on Sunnyhill Drive.
This report will be updated.
