Downtown Fremont celebrates 25 years

Downtown Fremont Inc. will host its first Croghan Colonial Bank Farmers Market and the first Fremont Federal Credit Union Car Show of the season downtown from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 20. Farmers and vendors will sell produce and other unique items.

Attendance at the farmers market and registration for the car show are free and the events are rain or shine.

Check-in for car show contestants will be on the day of the event. Check-in for participants will be atthe Fremont Community Amphitheater at 209 S. Arch St. Participants can enter from thewest at State Street to Park Ave and from the east via Miles Newton Bridge to Birchard Avenue.

Judging will occur at 12 p.m. with trophies awarded shortly thereafter. Dash plaques and goody bags will be given to the first 150 participants to pre-register. There will also be a 50-50 raffle and music. Food trucks, a kids’ zone and special vendors will be a part of the car show as well.

June 20 will be the first of three car shows hosted in Downtown Fremont. Other shows are July 4 and Sept. 12 from 5-8 p.m. on Front Street.

Farmers market season begins this week

The 2026 farmers market season will start at Croghan and Front Streets. Vendors will continue through to Birchard Avenue and will also be in the Brady Parking Lot (Parking Lot A). The car show will begin at Birchard Avenue and continue to Hayes Avenue.

As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, Downtown Fremont Inc. is hosting a special Moke AmericaFundraiser Raffle featuring a limited-edition “250th Liberty Bell” Moke as the grand prize.

Proceeds from the raffle will directly support Downtown Fremont Inc.’s ongoing efforts to promote and enhance Downtown Fremont. Tickets are $50 each or three for $100 and may be purchased at the Downtown Fremont Inc. booth during community events, at the Downtown Fremont office, 315 Garrison St., or by calling 419-332-8696.

Only 750 tickets will be sold, and there is no limit to the number of tickets an individual may purchase. The raffle is open to anyone 18 years of age or older, and the Moke is available for public viewing at the Downtown Fremont office throughout the raffle period. The winner need not be present to win. Drawing will occur when all tickets are sold.

Downtown Fremont Inc. and the Fremont Community Amphitheater also have many more free eventsplanned for the upcoming months.
