FSU softball’s standout pitcher Jazzy Francik is staying in Tallahassee, announcing she would return for the 2027 season Monday on social media
Ready for more hugs, smiles, and crooked hat celebrations with Team44,” she said.
Francik dominated on the mound this season, posting an absurd ERA of just 1.86 and a stellar record of 24-3. In 154 innings pitched, her WHIP of 1.07 and 119 strikeouts made the Seminole defense very difficult to hit off of.
Against Samford, on opening day, she threw a no-hitter, one of three she threw during her sophomore season. In the ACC tournament games, she had a near-perfect performance in 11.2 combined innings with just one earned run and 10 strikeouts.
In 2026, Francik was named to the 2026 NFCA First Team All-Region team, as well as being named the ACC Tournament Most Valuable Player and First-Team All-ACC. A two-time ACC Pitcher of the Week and the 2026 ACC Pitcher of the Year was her award for such dominance on the mound.
Furthermore, a wave of news for softball has come out on Monday, including Isa Torres entering the transfer portal, and Ashtyn Danley also announcing her return to FSU. The Seminoles have ahd four players enter the transfer portal.
