Texas A&M’s future wide receiver corps is poised to be the most athletic collection of players in program history after third-year coach Mike Elko and new OC Holmon Wiggins, who served as A&M’s WR coach for the last two seasons, landed four four-star receiver commits in the 2026 signing class.
After star wide receiver KC Concepcion was selected 24th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2026 NFL Draft, junior wideout Mario Craver, who reeled in 917 yards and four touchdowns last season, leads the 2026 rotation, but will likely depart for the 2027 draft, making all four freshman receivers that much more important for the future.
Within the Aggies’ No. 1-ranked 2027 recruiting class, four-star WR Jaden Upshaw serves as the lone receiver commit, while the Aggies are looking to secure three-star Demani Warren’s commitment after his official visit this weekend, paired with five-star Eric McFarland, who made his way to College Station during the final May weekend for his OV.
McFarland is definitely on the Aggies’ shortened list of priority prospects in the cycle, possessing elite speed and versatility, similar to former Texas A&M standout WR Ainias Smith, who broke several A&M records. On Sunday, McFarland further narrowed his options, placing Texas A&M, Florida, and Georgia on his final list, and announced that he will commit to one of these programs on Sunday, June 28.
Already projected to land with the Aggies, McFarland’s relationship with the coaching staff has only strengthened over time, and his fit in Holmon Wiggins’ spread-out passing attack is ideal for fully utilizing his unique skill set.
