Wisconsin great Melvin Gordon will return to Camp Randall Stadium in September as part of Wisconsin’s Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026. It’s a group of Badger legends that will be honored together during a packed weekend of celebration around the Badgers’ early-season home slate.
Wisconsin will induct 12 athletes, staff, and supporters across nine sports the weekend of Sept. 18 and honor the class during the Badgers’ game against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 19 at Camp Randall. For many football fans, Gordon headlines the group after defining a golden era of Badgers running backs and delivering one of the most electric seasons in program history.
Gordon was a star at Wisconsin from 2011 to 2014 and capped his career with a 2014 campaign that still ranks among the program’s best individual seasons and one of the best seasons in college football history. He won the Doak Walker Award, finished as the Heisman Trophy runner-up, and earned unanimous First-Team All-American honors while strengthening his place as a Wisconsin rushing-average legend.
The Hall of Fame weekend gives Wisconsin a chance to spotlight that legacy in front of a home crowd, with the Eastern Michigan game serving as the on-field centerpiece for the ceremonies. Badgers fans will watch for more details on the full weekend schedule and how Wisconsin plans to recognize the Class of 2026 inside Camp Randall on Sept. 19.
