Texas A&M’s 2026 roster will look very different compared to last season’s veteran lineup after a record ten players were selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, including star wide receiver KC Concepcion, who led the Aggies through the air, and provided starting quarterback Marcel Reed a reliable No. 1 option, leading to the signal caller passing for a career high 3,169 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
This season, after Concepcion was selected 24th overall by the Cleveland Browns, junior WR Mario Craver, who enters the 2026 season as one of the top athletes in the country, reeled in a career high 59 receptions for 917 yards and four touchdowns during his first season in College Station, and is by far the most electric playmaker in the SEC, who will likely lead the Aggies in receiving yards this fall.
Paired with Alabama transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton, who brings more size at 6’4″ to an already established receiver unit, Marcel Reed’s expectations have steadily risen, and compared to a host of former SEC quarterbacks entering their third starting season, the Tennessee native has zero excuses, outside of poor blocking, which could be an issue early in the year given that four 2025 O-line starters departed for the NFL.
Still, even with the concerns in the trenches, Marcel Reed and Mario Craver deserve recognition for being one of the more lethal duos entering the 2026 campaign, especially after developing chemistry last season. Even more important, with Horton in the lineup, Craver will be able to play most of his snaps in the slot, where he should thrive after the catch, as he did last season.
Compared to ten other QB/WR duos in the Power Four, Marcel Reed and Mario Craver were not included in Roc Boys Football’s latest rankings, and should at least be considered based on last season’s production and the potential heading into the fall.
