Former Warriors assistant coach Terry Stotts departed the franchise this summer after two seasons in hopes of finding his next head coaching job. Just like another former Warriors assistant, Jerry Stackhouse, Stotts has had interviews lined up this summer.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Stotts is “certain” to get an interview with the Dallas Mavericks for their vacant coaching position after the team parted ways with former head coach Jason Kidd. Not only does Stotts have 13 years of experience as an NBA head coach, he also coached as an assistant with the Mavericks for four seasons from 2008 to 2012. If hired, Stotts will be tasked with the development of last year’s No. 1 overall pick and recent Rookie of the Year Award winner, Cooper Flagg.
