OKLAHOMA CITY — The Texas Tech softball team has a special fan in attendance for tonight’s Game 2 of the Women’s College World Series finals against Texas.
Texas Tech alum and current Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes made his return to Devon Park to support the Red Raiders against the Crimson Tide. Mahomes also showed up in the WCWS for Game 2 of last year’s championship series against Texas, which Tech won.
NiJaree Canady is one of the members of Team Mahomes, the NIL group started by Mahomes through adidas to provide NIL deals for a handful of Texas Tech athletes. Canady has been part of Team Mahomes each of the first two years in its existence.
