How to watch Mexico vs. Serbia in FIFA international friendly match

The Mexican national soccer team gets its final send-off for the 2026 FIFA World Cup when it takes on Serbia with the squad it will use in the coming months.

Serbia, which did not qualify for the World Cup, is without top strikers Dusan Vlahovic and Aleksandar Mitrovic and is in poor form, as it has lost two of its last three friendlies after finishing third in its World Cup qualifying group.

Mexico, meanwhile, is unbeaten in its last seven matches (5-0-2, two draws) and now is on home soil, where it will stay until the knockout rounds of the World Cup. El Tri is a heavy favorite.

Mexico vs. Serbia predictions

USA Today: Mexico 2, Serbia 0

Rob Usry writes: “Mexico carries momentum into its final pre-World Cup tune-up against a Serbia side coming off a heavy loss in its last outing. Expect El Tri to dominate the ball and pick up a comfortable win.”

Sports Illustrated: Mexico 3, Serbia 0

Robert Casillas writes: “Mexico is undefeated through seven games in 2026 and has conceded just one goal in that stretch. Serbia, meanwhile, hasn’t kept a clean sheet in its last eight matches and lost 3–0 to Cape Verde last time out.

“Located at 8,727 feet above sea level, the Estadio Nemesio Diez in the Mexican city of Toluca is often unforgiving for visiting rivals. Mexico has won its last 13 games at the ground, with its last defeat coming against Italy in the 1970 World Cup quarterfinals.”

Sports Mole: Mexico 3, Serbia 1

The site writes: “Mexico will have the full support of the home crowd, are in superior form and will be eager to maintain their current run ahead of the World Cup getting underway, leading us to expect a win for the hosts.”

Sportskeeda: Mexico 2, Serbia 0

Peter Pedroncelli writes: “At full strength, Serbia might be expected to give Mexico a very competitive match. However, the European side do not have their two main strikers for this game, and are coming in on the back of a poor loss to Cape Verde.

”Mexico will naturally have more focus on the World Cup than this warm-up game, but they are on a good run in 2026 and will also want to sign off for the tournament with a win. Given they have claimed some good results recently, it feels like they’ll pick up another victory against under-strength Serbia here.”
