See who was voted to the 2026 All-Ventura County Coaches Baseball team

Oaks Christian senior Carson Sheffer and Royal High senior Dusty Dunwoody took home the top honors when the Ventura County Baseball Coaches Association announced its annual all-county team.

Sheffer, an Oklahoma State commit, hit .440 with 14 doubles, three triples, five home runs, 36 runs scored and 24 RBIs for the Marmonte League co-champions. He also had a .536 on-base percentage and slugged .790.

Dunwoody, an Arizona commit, was 10-0 with a 0.22 ERA for the Coastal Canyon League champion. He struck out 115 batters in 64.1 innings.

Honors were voted by local head coaches during the annual end-of-season meeting May 19 at Newbury Park High.

First team

The first and second teams included 22 players, five pitchers, three catchers, eight infielders, five outfielders, and a utility/DH.

The pitchers were Agoura senior Donovan Anthony, Rio Mesa senior Rob Rodriguez, Simi Valley senior Kyle Casey, Santa Paula sophomore Isaak Medina, and Westlake senior Caden Atkinson.

The catchers were Royal senior Payton Visage, Simi Valley junior Andrew Nicklaus and Thousand Oaks senior Matthew Magruder.

The infield was Agoura senior Braden Oliver, Buena senior Brody Kaylor, Simi Valley senior Danny Pina, Oaks Christian sophomore Ryan Sheffer, Oaks Christian senior Luke Puls, Westlake sophomore Dylan Lee, Thousand Oaks junior Gavin Berigan, and Moorpark senior Tanner Stotts.

The outfield was Agoura senior Tyler Starling, Royal senior Isaiah Tillman, Oaks Christian sophomore Dane Disney, Westlake junior Jaxson Neckien, and Thousand Oaks junior Jake Ange.

The utility player was St. Bonaventure sophomore Wyatt Richardson.

Second team

The second-team pitchers were Agoura freshman Zach Partee, Nordhoff senior Weston Haley, Rio Mesa senior Daniel Puebla, Oaks Christian senior Christian Ipsen, and Westlake senior Micah Cummins.

The catchers were Newbury Park senior Nathaniel Nunez, Westlake sophomore Holden Backus and Oxnard senior Steven Lira.

The infield was Buena senior Mason Trigo, Calabasas senior Evan Barak, Grace School freshman Kade Monica, Royal senior Noah Vasquez, Hueneme senior Allan Rodriguez, Santa Paula sophomore David Delgado, Moorpark senior AJ Mai, and Moorpark senior Blake Guy.

The outfield was Royal senior Ryan Talley, Newbury Park junior Carson Richter, Newbury Park senior Caiden Inglehart, Moorpark senior Carson Cerny, and Pacifica senior Riley Ortega.

The utility player was Royal senior Dayne Peters.

Honorable mention

Fifteen additional players were named honorable mention.

The pitchers were Pacifica freshman Sebastian Hernandez, Moorpark senior Cody Brossard and Newbury Park senior Chase Renzo.

The catchers were Hueneme senior Akira Tamura and Buena senior Gabe Alonso.

The infield was Calabasas sophomore Auron Blackledge, Rio Mesa senior Alec Fontyn, Royal senior Matt Stout, St. Bonaventure senior Collin Barker, and Newbury Park senior Alan Espinal.

The outfield was St. Bonaventure junior Rowan Kaiser, Oak Park senior Tyler Kutsch and Rio Mesa freshman Andrew Garcia.

The utility player was Newbury Park junior Owen Gaida.

All-Academic

The All-Academic Team honored 22 players and one team for their efforts on and off the field.

The team included Buena senior Kody Walton (4.29 GPA); Calabasas junior Trevor Chang (4.12); Calabasas junior Jacob Sperling (4.3); Moorpark senior Carson Cerny (4.2); Camarillo junior Brad Barlow (4.8); Camarillo junior Lachlan Brown (4.67); Grace junior Charlie Martinez (4.2); Grace junior Brady Borgstrom (4.06); Hueneme junior Cristian Solis (4.17); Newbury Park senior Jack Klein (4.58); Oxnard senior Steven Lira (4.61); Pacifica senior Riley Ortega (4.64); Santa Paula senior Jesse Chavez (4.2); Santa Paula senior Isaiah Flores (4.4); St. Bonaventure senior Collin Barker (4.71); St. Bonaventure senior Cooper Masterson (4.02); Westlake senior Caden Atkinson (5.0); Westlake junior Harris Lee (5.0); and Thousand Oaks senior Matthew Magruder (4.63).

Royal High was honored for a 4.21 team GPA.
