Division 1 sectional semifinals
Green Bay Preble 12, West De Pere 2
GREEN BAY – The top-seeded Hornets used two big innings to make short work of the fifth-seeded Phantoms to win in five innings.
Green Bay Preble advances to the sectional final June 4 against Stevens Point.
The Hornets scored five runs in the first, two in the fourth and five in the fifth.
West De Pere, meanwhile, scored once in the third and once in the fifth.
Camille Konkol, Chloe Savage, Tenley Kuehn and Bella Smits had two hits each for Green Bay Preble, while Hannah Von Haden homered and drove in two runs.
Kuehn earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing five hits and two unearned runs while striking out eight.
Brooke Shoemaker had two hits for the Phantoms.
Division 2 sectional semifinals
Denmark 4, Kewaskum 2
DENMARK – The second-seeded Vikings scored two runs in the second inning and two in the third and held off Kewaskum from there.
Kewaskum scored one run in the fourth and one in the sixth.
With the win, Denmark advances to the sectional final June 4 against Fox Valley Lutheran.
Milli Kreif had two hits, while Kyli Baka homered for Kewaskum.
Fox Valley Lutheran 3, Luxemburg-Casco 2
APPLETON – The Foxes overcame an early deficit and held off the Spartans to earn a trip to the sectional final against Denmark.
Luxemburg-Casco scored one run in the top of the first, but Fox Valley Lutheran answered with one in the bottom of the inning. The Foxes then scored two more runs in the second.
The Spartans scored one in the sixth, but could not complete the comeback.
Claire Schleis and Alayna Deprez had two hits each to power Luxemburg-Casco.
Division 3 sectional semifinals
New Holstein 14, Southern Door 4
BRUSSELS – The second-seeded Huskies scored early and often en route to the sectional semifinal win over the top-seeded Eagles.
New Holstein opened the game with six runs and added three in the third, three in the fourth and two in the fifth as the Huskies outhit Southern Door 14-5 on the day.
The Eagles scored three times in the first and one in the third.
Jenna Horn helped lead New Holstein, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, while Jaci Horn doubled and homered.
Madyson Counard led Southern Door with a triple and a home run.
The Huskies will face Wittenberg-Birnamwood in the sectional final June 4.
Division 4 sectional semifinals
Algoma 4, St. Mary’s Springs 0
ALGOMA – The Wolves scored three runs in the first inning and one in the fifth and held the Ledgers to no hits as they advanced to the sectional final June 4 against Johnson Creek, a 2-0 winner over Random Lake.
Division 5 sectional semifinals
Wausaukee 4, Rosholt 0
WAUSAUKEE – Keaghan Strumbis doubled and Chloe Taddish tripled to lead the Rangers past the Hornets to advance to the sectional final June 4 at Athens High School.
Strumbis also led Wausaukee in the circle, pitching seven innings and allowing seven hits and three walks while striking out seven.
The Rangers scored twice in the fourth and twice in the sixth.
Addi Gagas had two hits, while Morgan Nyman added a double to lead Rosholt.
BASEBALL
Division 1 regional semifinals
Pulaski 7, Ashwaubenon 1
PULASKI – The Red Raiders scored four runs in the second inning and three in the fourth in their win over the Jaguars.
Pulaski improves to 18-9 with the win and will play at Kimberly on June 4 in the regional final.
Braun Wotruba had two hits for Pulaski. Landon Silva and Brayden Wiedeman both scored twice.
Wotruba pitched a complete game for Pulaski. He allowed one unearned run on three hits and two walks while striking out seven.
Ashwaubenon ends its season with an 8-15 record.
Appleton North 4, Green Bay Preble 0
APPLETON – The Lightning scored twice in the second inning and twice in the fifth in its win over the Hornets.
Colin Reddy and Owen Reuland both had two hits for Appleton North.
Cash Christianson went five innings for Appleton North to get the win. He allowed two hits and three walks while striking out seven. Reuland pitched the final two innings, allowing two hits and one walk with three strikeouts.
Green Bay Preble finished with four hits made up of three singles and a double. Will VanBoxel had the double.
VanBoxel started and took the loss for Green Bay Preble. He allowed four runs on six hits and a walk over 4⅓ innings.
Jackson Zegers pitched the final 1⅔ innings for Green Bay Preble, which finishes with a record of 14-9.
Appleton North is 13-11 and advances to the regional final June 4 against Bay Port in Suamico.
Appleton West 3, De Pere 1
DE PERE – The Terrors broke a 1-1 tie by scoring a pair of runs in the sixth inning in their win over the Redbirds.
Appleton West pitchers Henry Ott and Kellin Gilbert combined to limit De Pere to three hits. Ott got the start for Appleton West and went 5⅔ innings, allowing a run on three hits and four walks. He struck out three.
Gilbert finished up, allowing one walk in 1⅓ innings.
Quinn Meyers had two hits for Appleton West, which will play at Kaukauna in a regional final June 4.
Charles Buysse took the loss for De Pere. He went 5⅓ innings, gave up three runs on three hits, walked five and struck out three.
Rory Obma had two hits for De Pere, which ends its season with a record of 18-10.
Hortonville 13, Green Bay East/West 1
HORTONVILLE – The Polar Bears will host the regional final against West De Pere on June 4 after defeating the Devil Cats in the regional semifinal.
Hortonville is now 19-8.
Green Bay East/West ends its season with a record of 1-20.
West De Pere 23, Green Bay Southwest 0
DE PERE – The Phantoms cruised to the win over the Trojans.
West De Pere, which is now 17-10, will play at Hortonville on June 4 for the regional title.
Green Bay Southwest ends its season with a record of 1-21.
Division 2 regional semifinals
Xavier 2, Notre Dame 0
GREEN BAY – The Hawks advanced to the regional final June 3 when they will face the Seymour Thunder in Seymour.
With the win, Xavier is 15-6.
Notre Dame, which had only two hits, ends its season with a record of 12-15.
Drew Magnuson pitched a complete game for Notre Dame. He gave up two runs on six hits and one walk. He struck out six.
Denmark 2, Marinette 0
DENMARK – The Vikings’ Cade Delwarwelle pitched a complete game, giving up one hit and four walks while striking out eight in Denmark’s win over the Marines.
Denmark, which is now 18-9, will play at Little Chute against the Mustangs in the regional final June 3.
Braedon Heezen had two hits, including a double, for Denmark.
Nik Williams had the lone hit for Marinette.
Cooper Smith took the loss for Marinette, giving up two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven.
Seymour 3, Fox Valley Lutheran 1
SEYMOUR – Brayden Banker allowed one run while allowing six hits and striking out two in the Thunder’s win over the Foxes.
Seymour, which is now 19-7-1, will host Xavier on June 3 in the regional final.
Xavier Salzman and Carson Staffeldt both had three hits for Seymour. Caden Steffens drove in two runs.
Fox Valley Lutheran finishes with a 13-10 record.
Little Chute 9, Luxemburg-Casco 1
LITTLE CHUTE – The Mustangs scored their runs on 11 hits in the win over the Spartans.
Little Chute took the lead with a run in the third inning and added three in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Ethan Dachelet had two of Luxemburg-Casco’s three hits.
Gavin Lax took the loss for Luxemburg-Casco. He allowed four unearned runs in 3⅓ innings on six hits and a walk.
Luxemburg-Casco finishes with a 5-10 record.
Little Chute, which is now 15-7, will host Denmark on June 3 in a regional final.
Division 3 regional semifinals
Kewaunee 6, Peshtigo 1
KEWAUNEE – The Storm scored four runs in the first inning and went on to defeat the Bulldogs.
Kewaunee, which is 26-0, will host Crivitz in the regional final June 3.
Kewaunee’s Jackson Walecka pitched five innings, allowing one run on three hits and three walks to get the win. He struck out seven.
Waylon Delain pitched the final two innings.
Delain and Diesel Bosdeck both had two hits for Kewaunee. Connor Kilgore and Blake Temme both drove in two runs.
Lincoln Nemec had two hits for Peshtigo.
Brayden Denowski started and took the loss for Peshtigo (13-13).
Crivitz 5, Oconto 3
CRIVITZ – The Wolverines scored five runs in the fourth inning and went on to defeat the Blue Devils.
Colton Arpke and Pierce Polomis both had two hits for Crivitz with JJ Brand driving in two runs with a triple.
Oconto, which scored a run in the fourth and two in the seventh, finished with eight hits including three by Roman Cantu. One of Cantu’s hits was a double. Davis Knoll drove in two of Oconto’s runs.
Jackson Schramm pitched six innings for Crivitz and got the win. He allowed one run on six hits. He struck out nine. Arpke pitched the seventh inning and allowed two runs.
Cantu started and took the loss for Oconto. He gave up five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over 3⅓ innings.
Oconto ends its season with a 14-11-1 record.
Crivitz is now 21-3 and will play at top-seed Kewaunee in a regional final June 3.
Bonduel 4, Sturgeon Bay 3
BONDUEL – The Bears rallied from a 2-1 deficit with three runs in the sixth inning and then held off the Clippers, who scored a run in the seventh to pick up the win.
Bonduel, which improved to 18-5 with the win, will play at Brillion against the Lions on June 3.
Sturgeon Bay, which closes the books on its season with a 6-16 record, was ledy by Rylan Ruenger with two hits.
Siggy Hansen started and pitched 5⅓ innings for Sturgeon Bay. H allowed two runs on six hits and three walks to take the loss. Ethan Kratcha pitched the final two-thirds of an inning and allowed two unearned runs.
Brillion 9, Algoma 1
BRILLION – The Lions advanced to the regional final with the win over the Wolves.
Brillion is now 22-4 and will host Bonduel on June 3.
Algoma closes its season with a record of 10-15.
Division 4 regional semifinals
Rib Lake 10, St. Thomas Aquinas 0
RIB LAKE – The Redmen upped their record to 17-5-1 with the win over the Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers end their season with a record of 6-11.
Green Lake/Princeton 11, NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy 3
PRINCETON – The Tigersharks took control of the game in the first inning, scoring eight runs in the win over the Blazers.
NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy finishes its season with a record of 12-13.
Green Lake/Princeton will play at UW-Oshkosh against Lourdes Academy in the regional final June 3.
Florence 12, Lena 2
FLORENCE – The Bobcats upped their record to 14-6 with the win over the Wildcats.
Florence will play Gibraltar in the regional final June 3.
Lena has its season end with a record of 8-8.
Laona/Wabeno 4, Niagara 0
NIAGARA – The Rebels advanced to the regional final with the shutout win over the Badgers.
Wabeno/Laona is now 15-9 and will play at Rib Lake in the regional finals June 3.
Niagara closes out its season with a 10-9 record.
Gibraltar/Washington Island 11, Prentice 0
FISH CREEK – The Vikings improved their record to 19-6 with a six-inning win over the Buccaneers.
Gibraltar will play host to Florence in the regional final June 3.
BOYS GOLF
Division 2
Seymour Sectional
SEYMOUR – Winneconne and Xavier took the first two spots in the team standings to both advance to the WIAA state tournament.
Winneconne shot 313 as a team to beat runner-up Xavier by two strokes.
The top two teams and the top three individuals not on qualifying teams advance to the state tournament, which is June 8-9 at University Ridge in Madison.
The Wolves are headed to state for the seventh time in program history. Xavier is headed to WIAA state for the 12th time.
Derek Watry of Xavier and Austin Dobbe of Winneconne both shot 74 to share medalist honors.
Seymour, the defending Division 2 state champion, didn’t make it as a team but did claim all three individual state qualifier spots. Vince Sigl finished third with a 75, Owen Sigl was fifth with a 78 and Tristan Drath was ninth with an 80 to advance to state for the Thunder.

DEERBROOK – Evan MacCaux of Kewaunee and Owen Reese of Shiocton both advanced to the state tournament as individuals.
MacCaux shot 73 and was the individual medalist. Reese shot 75 and tied for third place to also advance. Reid Votis of Crandon was the final individual state qualifier.
Three Lakes/Phelps and Mishicot finished 1-2 in the team standings to advance to state as teams.

ASHWAUBENON – The sixth-seeded Jaguars slipped past the 11th-seeded Highlanders in regional semifinal action.
Ashwaubenon will face third-seeded Pulaski on June 6 in the regional final.
Brookfield Central 10, Green Bay Southwest 0
BROOKFIELD – The Lancers blanked the Trojans to advance to the regional final.
Brookfield Central, which is now 11-3, will host Appleton West on June 6.
Green Bay Southwest ends its season with a record of 0-11.
Nicolet 7, Green Bay East 0
MEQUON – The fourth-seeded Knights dominated the 13th-seeded Red Devils en route to the regional semifinal win.
Nicolet will next meet fifth-seeded Plymouth on June 6 in the regional final.
Pulaski 2, West De Pere 0
PULASKI – The Red Raiders blanked the Phantoms and will move on to the regional final June 6 when they will host Ashwaubenon.
Ruth Krause and Leah Grygiel scored goals for Pulaski. Lydia Stangler and Kara Barber had assists.
Tatum Wentland was in goal but didn’t need to make a save for Pulaski, which is 9-5-5.
West De Pere finishes the season with a record of 2-13-2.
Division 4 regional quarterfinals
Valders 2, Kewaunee 1
KEWAUNEE – The Vikings picked up their second win of the season with the win over the Storm.
Valders, which is now 2-14, will play at Xavier in a regional semifinal June 4.
Kewaunee finishes the season with a record of 1-16.
GIRLS LACROSSE
WIAA regional finals
Verona 12, Notre Dame 3
VERONA – The Wildcats got three goals from Magali Forlines and two from Ava Anderson in the win over the Tritons.
Ellie Schultz, Rae Olson, Scarlett Gauthier and Audrey Duffy accounted for Verona’s other goals.
Forlines, Zoe Engelke, Duffy and Emma Frick each had an assist.
Emma Yeager had 11 saves for Verona.
