My order: The Library, in the former Crow’s Mill School building, is primarily a drinking establishment, but it also serves a variety of pizzas, plus bar bites such as wings, bruschetta and meatballs. Pizza crusts come in three varieties: tavern-style thin, thick Sicilian and artisan stone-baked. (There also is a gluten-free flatbread.) I ordered a pie called Book Club ($19 for 12-inch, $25 for 16-inch), which had red sauce, mozzarella, Italian sausage, green peppers, onions and mushrooms on the artisan crust. I also sampled the thin crust with two toppings ($12 for 12-inch, $18 for 16-inch) under the Pizza Pie section of the menu. We chose ham and mushrooms as our toppings. I love thin-pizza crust, but I thought the artisan crust here — chewy and flavorful — was outstanding. Both pizzas were delicious, with no skimping on the ingredients.
Likes: The Library offers live music on an outdoor stage at various times, plus games such as darts, video poker and cornhole.
Dislikes: None
What would I order next time? I might try the Dewey 808 ($21 for 12-inch, $27 for 16-inch), which has red sauce, mozzarella, ham, bacon, banana peppers and pineapple. And I’d get it with the artisan crust.
