It looked like Notre Dame was going to have a chance to make a delayed flip on a former 2027 Indiana commit, but on Monday he announced that he won’t be visiting South Bend.
Ohio cornerback Monsanna Torbert Jr. broke away from his verbal to the Hoosiers in the middle of last month, and many believed that the Irish would have a chance to land him. Unfortunately, that will not end up happening, as the 5-foot, 10-inch and 158-pounder went to social media to announce that he will not be taking his official visit to Notre Dame that was set up for just a few weeks away.
Since Torbert decommitted, he’s received offers from James Madison and West Virginia, which clearly are programs that aren’t on the same level as the Irish. This could be a situation where both parties realized that they weren’t a fit and decided to explore other opportunities.
