What's your favorite food truck in the Palm Springs area? Vote here

Who doesn’t love a food truck?

There’s something particularly satisfying about arriving at a community event — especially with a growling stomach — and realizing there’s several trucks with mouthwatering offerings and cold beverages. So, we want to celebrate that particular indulgence by crowning the Coachella Valley’s most beloved food truck.

I asked the Desert Sun staff, as well as our readers (via Instagram), to nominate their favorite local food truck, and the list of 10 below includes all the businesses that were nominated. Read about each food truck below, and scroll to the bottom of the story to vote for your favorite.

Perilous Coffee Company

Desert Sun readers love this traveling coffee truck with a menu that includes an espresso, americano, mocha, latte and cold brew (and offers a lemonade, hot chocolate, hibiscus tea, chai latte and matcha latte option for the non-coffee drinkers). See their Instagram story to see where they’re parked any given day. IG: @perilous_coffee_company

Valley Fusions Sushi

An overwhelming number of Desert Sun readers nominated this Coachella Valley sushi truck, which gained fame recently for its viral sushi taco. The truck is parked at VillageFest every Thursday evening in downtown Palm Springs, as well as at Food Trucks on Requa, 83-197 Requa Ave., Indio, Friday-Sunday. IG: @valleyfusions

El Reaper Chicken

This local food truck is known for its chicken sandwiches (with a variety of “heat flavors”), and you can place an order by DM or by contacting 760-239-8930. The truck is also often at Food Truck Fridays in downtown Indio. IG: @elreaperchicken

Nick’s Pizza

This local pizza truck with a variety of offerings can be found at several local events, and was even tapped to be a food vendor at the 2026 BNP Paribas. You can grab a slice at Indio Food Truck Fridays and Indian Wells Farmers Market Thursdays. IG: @nickspizza760

Mariscos El Capitan

This beloved Mexican seafood restaurant is known by Coachella residents for its brick and mortar location, but other valley residents are often introduced to the business via its food truck. From shrimp cocktails to sushi, the menu is a seafood lover’s paradise. IG: @mariscoselcapitan

Tacos A Mar o Tierra

This desert food truck specializes in seafood tacos, but lately it’s gained traction for its Salsa Macha that can be purchased by the jar at tacosamarotierra.myshopify.com. Check the truck’s Instagram account to see where it’ll be parked next. IG: @tacosamarotierra

Desert Wing Shack

This Indio-based food truck is beloved by Desert Sun readers for its jumbo wings and loaded fries, and you can find it serving up both items Friday-Sunday at Food Trucks on Requa, 83-197 Requa Ave., Indio. IG: @desertwingshack

760 Teppanyaki

From spicy dumpling noodles to a steak yakisoba plate, 760 Teppanyaki food truck offers a wide variety of Asian inspired dishes on the go. You can catch them 6-10 p.m. every Thursday in downtown Palm Springs for VillageFest, as well as at a variety of other events around the desert. IG: @760teppanyaki

Tacos El Gordo El Ondlado

Desert Sun readers love this Indio-based taco truck that’s best known for its trompo (adobada) and carne asada. Visit the truck 3 p.m.-midnight Wednesday-Sunday at 44-596 Jackson St., Indio.

Amore Delights

This Coachella-based coffee and dessert truck is known for flower-topped (very Instagrammable) sweets, like the Mini Pancakes and Amore Emirates Pistachio Crunch. You can find the truck daily, 6-11 p.m., at the Coachella Container Park, 85-980 Grapefruit Blvd., Coachella. IG: @amore.delightss
