Star pass rusher Myles Garrett is no longer on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2026 NFL schedule.
The Cleveland Browns have reportedly traded Garrett to the LA Rams. In return, the Browns received pass rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick.
The Jaguars face the Browns at home in the 2026 regular season opener.
Garrett is an absolute force, and that’s putting it mildly. He is a five-time first-team All-Pro and two-time Defensive Player of the Year. He also set the NFL sack record last season.
Garrett has logged at least 14 sacks in five consecutive seasons and been one of the NFL’s top pressure getters.
Most of Garrett’s snaps have come lined up on the right side of the defensive line, which would have matched him up with Jaguars’ right tackle Cole Van Lanen.
Verse, in his own right, has been a highly productive pass rusher in his first two seasons and is a strong presence that Jacksonville will still have to contend with.
His 80 pressures last season were the sixth-most among edge rushers during the regular season. His 77 pressures as a rookie in 2024 were the fourth-most, per PFF.
That said, Garrett is on his own level when it comes to disruption.
