After two surprising and dominant victories in the first two games of the Auburn Regional, the UW-Milwaukee Panthers had two chances to win one more game to make school history and advance to the NCAA Baseball Tournament Super Regionals.
Now, they have one chance.
Trailing for the first time in the tournament, the Panthers fell into a 5-0 hole against Auburn and lost, 8-1, in a game that ended in the early morning of Monday, June 1.
In the first two games, the Panthers outscored their opposition, 26-14, and built leads of 10-0 and 9-0. It was the first time since April 29 that the Panthers scored less than three runs in a game. Their nine-game winning streak was also snapped.

The loss sets up a winner-take-all matchup at 5 p.m. Monday, June 1 as the Panthers and the Tigers meet for a third time in four days at Plainsman Park in Auburn, Alabama.
