Three former Florida football players were among 89 from the FBS level named to the 2027 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hall of Fame ballot.
The list includes former Florida Gators standout receiver Percy Harvin and former UF All-American defensive linemen Alex Brown and Kevin Carter.
Harvin, who played at UF from 2006-08, was a two-time, first team All-American, earning honors at wide receiver (2007) and as an all-purpose player (2008). He helped lead UF to two SEC titles and two national titles, amassing 3,781 all-purpose yards and 32 TDs as a receiver/running back. In 2007, Harvin led the nation in rushing yards per attempt (9.2).
Brown, who played at UF from 1998-2001, holds UF single-season (13 in 1999) and career (33) records in sacks. He was named the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team, All-American in 2001.
Carter, who played at UF from 1991-94, tallied 21.5 sacks and 42.5 tackles for loss in his career. He was a consensus first-team All-American and helped lead the Gators to four-straight bowl games.
Florida has produced 15 Hall of Famers – 10 players and five coaches – including Steve Spurrier, who was inducted both as a player and a coach. The last Gator to be awarded the honor was former head coach Urban Meyer as part of the 2025 class..
The announcement of the 2027 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class will be made in early 2027, with specific details to be announced in the future.
The 2027 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted during the 69th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas, and they will be honored at their respective schools with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute during the 2027 season.
