Ja’Marr Chase has something to say on missing Bengals voluntary work

We’ve written a few times about Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase missing voluntary work.

The summary: A change for Chase, but not a negative one.

Chase has been practicing away from the team doing some specialized work, which isn’t unusual for players at his position, nor veterans his age.

Dan Hoard recently caught up with Chase at a football camp and got the star wideout’s take on the whole thing.

“It’s just giving my body a rest at the end of the day,” Chase said. “I work very hard. My coaches can vouch for me and my teammates can vouch for me, so at the end of the day, I’m not doing anything wrong. I talk to the team and give them my information so I do a good job of that.”

Again, we’ll throw out the reminder that the last time Chase missed some notable offseason work during a little contract squabble…he went on to win a Triple Crown.

Seeing as none of those will bleed into mandatory camp, it’s really a moot point about Chase overall, regardless.
