Mobile storytime for youth set
COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County District Library will hold mobile storytime at parks throughout Coshocton County for youth. Readings are 6:30 to 7 p.m. June 1 at River View Community Park, June 15 at the Keene United Methodist Church shelter and June 29 at Conesville Park.
Program focused on life in ancient Ohio
COSHOCTON − Several adult programs are scheduled in June at the Coshocton County District Library. Depicting Life in Ancient Ohio is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. June 3 with Charles Salmon, special projects supervisor with the Ohio Geological Survey. Perry Hibner will talk about his book “Centennial Revisited,” which shot scenes in the Coshocton area, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 8. Memories on the Page with Brenda Haas sharing her experience and expertise on writing will be 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. June 9. Register for all programs in advance at coshoctonlibrary.org/events.
Music, candidates scheduled for Get Out the Vote
COSHOCTON − A Get Out the Vote event will be held rom 5 to 9 p.m. June 4 at the artPARK on Main Street. It will feature local musicians, a food truck and Democratic candidates for local and regional offices. Sponsored by the Common Good Coalition, the organization will also hold a Flip the 12th Music Festival from 3 to 9 p.m. July 25, on the public square in Mount Vernon. Canner gauge testing offered two days
COSHOCTON − Free pressure canner dial gauge testing will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. June 5 at the Bakersville Market and 8:30 a.m. to noon June 27 at the Coshocton Farmers Market. Two day car show in Sugarcreek
SUGARCREEK ‒ The Fabulous ’50s Fling Car Show will be June 5 and 6 at the Sugarcreek Fire Station, 152 N. Broadway St., Sugarcreek. The cruise-in starts at 4 p.m. on Friday with the Spikeman playing music from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Registration for the car show will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday with awards at 4 p.m. The BelAirs will perform from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information or to register your vehicle for the show, go online to fab50sfling.com.
Patriotic concert on the square
COSHOCTON − The Coshocton Community Band will play its first concert of the season at 7 p.m. June 5 on the Coshocton Court Square. The theme is Around the USA, related to America 250. Selections will include “America The Beautiful,” “Beautiful Ohio,” and “This is My Country.” Attendees should bring chairs. The concert will be canceled if it rains.
What’s good in the county, what needs help?
COSHOCTON − The Coshocton Public Health District is holding a photovoice project community meeting at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. June 9 at the Rotary Pavilion at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds. People are encouraged to take photos of things in the community they believe are good or need help. Focus areas are getting healthy food, safe places to walk, getting around town and parks and places to gather. The primary area being looked at is central Coshocton County, including the City of Coshocton, with a focus on Second Street from Chestnut Street to Ohio 83 South.
Bicycle safety event upcoming
COSHOCTON − A free bicycle safety event by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9, at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds, 707 Kenilworth Ave. There will be bicycle safety education, free bicycle helmets, children identification cards and a hot dog lunch with ice cream.

● The Coshocton County Public Defenders Commission meeting will be at 4:45 p.m. June 2, at the public defenders’ office.
● Coshocton County Board of Revision will meet at 10 a.m. June 9, at the Coshocton County Treasurer’s Office, to hear any complaints filed for the 2025 tax year and deal with any other deemed necessary business.
