A man is dead from a stabbing on Everhart Road on May 29, according to an online post from the Corpus Christi Police Department.
This is the second stabbing death to occur in Corpus Christi within three days.
At 1:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Everhart Road in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, they learned two males had been stabbed and already sent to a local hospital, according to the post.
A short time later, one of the males died of his injuries. The victim had not been identified as of the morning of May 29.
Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit arrived to assist. A preliminary investigation indicated a disturbance at a business had occurred and that the individuals left the area, and another disturbance occurred in a nearby parking lot where two men were stabbed.
Several individuals were detained for questioning. Officers believed the individuals involved knew each other.
This is an active investigation, and police are following up on leads. No arrests had been made as of the morning of May 29.
