PORT CLINTON – While walleye may love water, Walleye Festival goers did not appreciate the rain on the first two days of the event before Memorial Day. Luckily, the sun came out May 25, as did attendees.
The festival committee canceled the annual Walleye Festival Parade on May 23 due to rain. The weather did not cooperate on Saturday or Sunday.
But on Monday, May 25, the crowds came back to the festival for food and fun on the Midway.
Those brave enough to walk the grounds in the rain on May 23 could find an assortment of vendors, foods and games to keep them busy.
