Lakeview Leadership Academy Spartan seniors claimed victory during the school’s sixth commencement ceremony at High Desert Church’s Powell Auditorium in Victorville.
Of the 38 Spartans who were recognized during the event on Friday, 32 had attended Lakeview since their seventh-grade year, according to the Victor Valley Union High School District.
The seventh to 12th-grade school started as a middle school before expanding to include high school grades.
Principal Felicia Limbrick noted in her address that 22 of the grads are A-G college-ready, and 15 had earned the Golden State Seal of Merit.
Limbrick also noted that 85% of the A-G grads will be attending colleges and universities, including UCLA, or the military, with Issac Gurule already committed to the Marine Corps.
This year’s Valedictorian was Edie Al Hasna and the Salutatorian was Julia Quintana.
Another notable graduate was Tyler Jarvis, who completed two career technical education pathways and earned industry-recognized certifications in web animation and ethics in the workplace.
