Readers voted Central Valley Christian baseball player Macade Atkins as the Visalia Times-Delta Tulare County high school athlete of the week.
In an online poll that closed on Friday, May 29, Atkins received 14,420 votes, or a 75.95% majority, of the 18,985 responses.
Atkins put on an offensive clinic, going 4-for-4 with two home runs, eight RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Cavaliers to a semifinal playoff victory at Edison.

All high school varsity players from Tulare County can be on the ballot. Nominations must be received by Monday morning following that week’s games for consideration.
