Florida football in the mix as Kennedee Jackson sets commitment date

Four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson announced his commitment date and included Florida football among the list of finalists. The 6-foot-6-inch, 301-pound OT will decide between Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Tennessee and Texas on June 10.

The Lithonia, Georgia, native is ranked as the No. 14 OT in the nation and one of the best overall prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. Jackson stars for Lithonia High School, where he plays full-time snaps on both sides of the ball.

The Gators have already secured blue-chip commitments from several coveted players up front, including five-star offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller, four-star offensive lineman Peyton Miller and four-star OL Elijah Hutchenson. Jackson would be a praised addition to Phil Trautwein’s unit as the program looks to reestablish itself with elite play in the trenches.

Kennedee Jackson’s recruiting summary

Jackson is slated at No. 135 overall and No. 14 at his position according to 247Sports composite, while the Rivals industry rankings have him ranked at Nos. 139 and 14, respectively. Jackson has 26 total offers, including six SEC programs, among them Texas, LSU, Georgia and Auburn.

Florida leads the way for his commitment with an 81.6% chance of landing him, per Rivals, while Georgia (4.3%), Auburn (2.9%) and LSU (2.2%) lag far behind.
