For most young players entering the NFL, their situation matters most. A bad one destroys them. A good one takes them to the next level. If talented stars land with a winning organization, the chances of them being that same star in the NFL are higher. Former USC Trojans Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane are big winners from the 2026 NFL Draft. Both Trojan stars landed with winning organizations, the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles. Both organizations will be competing for a Super Bowl every year. Being in winning environments can completely change the trajectory of a player’s career.
Everybody wants to win, and these two receivers will have that going for them at least. Both Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane will also have the opportunity to make an impact early. They both at USC were two elite weapons, Lemon more notably, as he was named the best college football receiver last season. Lane, still in many other programs, would have had a season similar to Lemon.
These two receivers are rookies, but they are true professionals and wise beyond their years. I think these two playing in winning organizations will be just what they need for their careers to match their talent and upside. They both got the luck of the draw, and I think in year 1, both will be making a winning impact on their squads.
