Three local softball teams stand one win away from playing for a CIF-Southern Section championship, with the possibility of an all-High Desert showdown looming in Division 6.
CIF-SS semifinal action on Saturday, May 23 features Granite Hills and Hesperia Christian both chasing spots in the Division 6 title game, while Riverside Prep looks to continue its remarkable postseason run in Division 3.
Hesperia Christian remains the last local program to capture a softball title, winning it all in 2024, the same season Riverside Prep last reached the semifinals.
Now, the Silver Knights are back behind dominant freshman pitcher Lila Morris, while Granite Hills and Hesperia Christian each carry momentum into difficult road matchups.
Here’s a look at each of those three games set for Saturday.
Riverside Prep (26-4) at Dos Pueblos (21-6), noon
Granite Hills (13-8) at Irvine (14-16), 3:15 p.m.
Hesperia Christian (20-9) at Arroyo (17-9), 3:15 p.m.
