Cincinnati Reds infield prospect Edwin Arroyo hit his 10th home run of the season and raised his batting average to .348 while lifting the Triple-A Louisville Bats to a 4-2 win on May 21 at Columbus’ Huntington Park.
The 22-year-old Arroyo hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning. Arroyo led off and played shortstop.
Arroyo ranks third among MLB Pipeline’s top Reds prospects. On May 20, catcher Alfredo Duno, ranked MLB Pipeline’s top Reds prospect, hit his seventh home run in seven games for Dayton.
On May 8, Arroyo homered twice to lift the Bats to a 9-6 win against Nashville.
The Reds acquired Arroyo, Noelvi Marte and others in a 2022 trade with the Seattle Mariners for starting pitcher Luis Castillo.
