Crust 54 has closed on Washington Avenue in Holland, according to social media comments from the restaurant’s previous owner, an out-of-service phone number and signage on the door.
The location at 1145 Washington Ave. is listed as “temporarily closed” on Google, and a social media page for the business hasn’t posted since March 31. There was a notice of electric service shutoff, dated May 13, posted to the eatery’s door May 19.
Matt Klaus, the location’s previous owner and current operator of Crust 54 on Eighth Street, alleged on social media the branch’s new owner has stopped making payments.
“We are still figuring out next steps,” he wrote.
According to previous reporting by The Sentinel, Adam Harris purchased the southside location in 2022. He’d worked in the kitchen for more than three years at Crust 54 on Eighth Street.
That location remains open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays at 45 E. Eighth St.
A location in Grandville, operated in partnership with Oakestown Brewery, closed in February.
