Peoria Notre Dame HS soccer freshman makes under-15 USA National Team

The Peoria Notre Dame girls soccer team has temporarily lost its freshman phenom.

Irish star defender Siena Stone has earned a prestigious honor, named to the USA National Team under-15 squad that will play a pair of friendlies next week in Europe.

The Germantown Hills resident will participate in the International Mixed Camp in De Lutte, Netherlands from May 15-25.

USA will face Netherlands on May 20 and Germany on May 24 in those matches, and Stone will miss Notre Dame’s regional round of the IHSA playoffs.

She is scheduled to return in time for the sectionals.

All 20 players rostered by USA were born in 2011. The group of players would be the ones who would attempt to qualify for the 2028 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Stone is part of a Notre Dame team that is 21-0-2 with 20 shutouts and a perfect 10-0 record in the Big 12 Conference.

The Irish have out-scored opponents 134-5 this season.
