After joining the High Street Kitchens in Clintonville in March with a takeout-only operation called CoccoKay Bites Biryani Express, the Indian and Sri Lankan brand is planning to open CoccoKay Bites, a bakery and eatery in Powell at 170 W. Olentangy St.
The restaurant specializes in Hyderabadi dum biryani that CoccoKay says is prepared using traditional techniques to “seal in aroma, spice and flavor.” (A chicken version for $9.99 is currently offered as a grand-opening special by the North High location.)

In addition to savory snacks and meals, the Powell spot will offer baked goods, boba and custom cakes. While an opening date has not been shared, a sign out front and message on CoccoKay’s website both indicate the restaurant will open soon.
Visit the website and CoccoKay’s Instagram for a preview of the offerings, or sample its fare now by ordering on DoorDash or Uber Eats or picking up takeout from High Street Kitchens at 2864 N. High St.
