The Lone Stranger and Sidekick struck again in their annual Redding Rodeo Week (mock) crime spree, the Asphalt Cowboys announced.
Solve the clues and capture the varmints or find their ill-gotten loot this week to win cash prizes in this citywide contest. There’s a new clue published at Redding.com daily through Friday, or until the Asphalt Cowboys announce winners in both games. The contest ends at 5 p.m. Friday.
Here’s what went down Tuesday morning.
Two local celebrities dressed as the desperate desperadoes moseyed into the Five Star Bank on Hartnell Avenue in Redding, Asphalt Cowboys spokesperson Dave Tappan said. After a show of bravado, they made off with the fake loot.
Guns blazing with blanks, the Asphalt Cowboys slowly chased after them. Had they moved faster, they might have caught the Lone Stranger and Sidekick before the game could begin — but where’s the fun in that?
