Homicide detectives launched an investigation after an argument turned into a deadly shooting in Hesperia on Monday night.
Few details were initially available regarding the incident, which took place about 10:45 p.m. May 11 in a residential neighborhood in the 9200 block of Second Avenue, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department logs.
“During an argument between the suspect and victim, the victim sustained a major injury,” sheriff’s department spokeswoman Jenny Smith said. “The victim was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased.”
The victim was initially described only as a man.
No further details were released Tuesday.
“This is an active investigation,” Smith added.
