Miami Dolphins schedule: opponents, difficulty, ranking opposing QBs

The Miami Dolphins’ 2026 schedule will be released Thursday evening, May 14.

The NFL schedule release has become a big event for NFL Network.

The Dolphins will have the NFL’s 2nd-toughest schedule in 2026, according to analyst Warren Sharp, who used projected win-loss records of opponents.

When is the NFL schedule released?

The Miami Dolphins schedule and the NFL schedule will be released in the evening of Thursday, May 14.

The NFL will announce its International Games on Wednesday, May 13, at 9 a.m. ET on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football.”

It is possible the Dolphins may be playing a game against the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City.

Who are the Dolphins’ opponents in 2026?

The Dolphins will face AFC East opponents Buffalo, New England and the Jets twice. They’ll also play:

Home games: Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions

Road games: Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers,  Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers (could be in Mexico City).

We’ll also learn how the NFL views Miami, based on national television appearances.

Ranking the QBs Dolphins will face in 2026

The Dolphins need to rebuild the cornerback position, which is not ideal considering they’ll face some pretty good quarterbacks.

Here are the 14 QBs Miami is scheduled to face, ranked by The Palm Beach Post:

1. Josh Allen, Bills

Josh Allen is 13-3 in his career against the Dolphins.

2. Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs

No. 4 in NFL among active QBs in passer rating.

3. Joe Burrow, Bengals

No. 3 in NFL among active QBs in passer rating.

4. Justin Herbert, Chargers

Justin Herbert is 2-2 in his career against the Dolphins.

5. Jordan Love, Packers

Will face former GB defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley.

6. Drake Maye, Patriots

Maye led the Patriots to Super Bowl LIX in his second season.

7. Bo Nix, Broncos

Returning from a broken ankle.

8. Caleb Williams, Bears

16th in NFL in ESPN’s QBR in 2025.

9. Brock Purdy, 49ers

2nd in the NFL in ESPN’s QBR in 2025.

10. Jared Goff, Lions

Tied with Jordan Love for 9th in active QB rating.

11. Kyler Murray, Vikings

Career-low QBR of 47.2 in five Arizona starts in 2025.

12. Daniel Jones, Colts

Returning from a torn Achilles.

13. Geno Smith, Jets

Geno Smith is 3-2 in his career against the Dolphins.

14. Fernando Mendoza, Raiders

Miami native and former Columbus High School star.
