VOTE: Here are The Tribune's nominees for Student of the Week for May 11

The Tribune is asking readers to help us honor local high school students by voting to pick a Student of the Week.

You can VOTE HERE. Voting will be open from Monday morning until noon Thursday, May 14. You can vote as many times as you want by noon Thursday.

A story about the winner and other nominees will appear on our website Saturday and in Monday’s print edition of The Tribune.

Here are this week’s nominees, submitted by school officials, in alphabetical order by school:

Lo’Ryan Dowdy, Adams High School: Lo’Ryan is a senior at John Adams High School and will attend Indiana University in the fall. While at Adams, Lo’Ryan achieved wonderful scores in his Advanced Placement classes and is a member of the John Adams High School Marching Band. More importantly, Lo’Ryan is a fantastic person who always has a smile on his face and treats all with respect and dignity.

Emma Filley, LaVille Jr/Sr High School: Emma is highly involved in athletics and academics. She gets along well with others and is a great Lancer leader.

Nathan Shrock, NorthWood High School: Nathan, a senior, exemplifies excellence in academics, leadership and service. A consistent honor roll student in honors and dual credit courses, Nathan pairs strong academic discipline and steady determination. He is a respected leader on the baseball team, a member of the athletic leadership council and a three-time Scholar Athlete. Beyond school, Nathan has been a member of 4-H and deeply involved in his church community, serving on mission trips both domestically and abroad.
