Second-ranked Notre Dame jumped out to a 9-1 halftime lead and went on to beat Jacksonville University 18-5 on May 10 in an NCAA men’s lacrosse tournament game at Arlotta Stadium in South Bend, Ind.
The Irish (11-2) ended JU’s season after the Dolphins (11-5) won their first ASUN championship on May 3 and their first NCAA tournament game on May 6, beating Robert Morris.
Junior Wiliam Krupsky of Fleming Island led the Dolphins in scoring for the second game in a row with two goals. Bolles graduate Daylin John-Hill had a goal and an assist, Jack Taylor and Parker Addision had goals and Nicky Brown had three assists.
Krupsky scored a career-high five goals in the Dolphins’ 13-7 victory at Robert Morris.
Flagler eliminated at Tampa
Tampa broke open a close game by outscoring Flagler 4-1 in the second period, and went on to beat the Saints 12-3 on May 10 in an NCAA Division II men’s lacrosse tournament game at the Naimoli Family Complex in Tampa.
Senior attack Jackson Bashaw of Jupiter led the Spartans (19-1) with five goals. Flagelr (12-6) got two goals from Dempsey Gibbs and one from Trace McDonald.
