“We’re thrilled to bring our expertise to Hook restaurant and offer an unforgettable dining experience,” Joe Vicari, founder and CEO of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group said in a news release.

Jim Oppat, the restaurant group’s longtime corporate executive chef, crafted a new menu from appetizers to main dishes. Diners can expect a new dinner menu highlighting entrees of fish from the Great Lakes, including “Yellow Belly” perch and walleye, plus other seafood dishes. There are also premium steaks, soups, salads and shareable starters with a seasonal focus.

Hook’s appetizers will include wild-caught Rhode Island calamari served with shishito peppers and remoulade. There’s also beef tenderloin tips and a Burrata caprese, plus entrees of filet mignon and pasta dishes.

Diners can expect expanded lunch and dinner hours, plus live entertainment. On Sunday, May 10, Hook offers a Mother’s Day brunch. A brunch buffet 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and $46.95 per person and the dinner buffet, $59.95 per person is 3-7 p.m.

Hook is along what’s known as the Nautical Mile, featuring views of Lake St. Clair. It’s a large space at 9,000 square feet with indoor and outdoor seating, boat dockage available and valet parking.

This location sits at the former Brownie’s on the Lake. Before Brownie’s, it was Jack’s Waterfront.
