APPLETON – The Papermakers scored six runs in the top of the first inning to take control of the game in their win over the Patriots.
Jake Mau drove in three runs for Kimberly, while Shaefer Peterson drove in two.
Blake Dietzen had two hits and two RBIs for Appleton East.
Beckett Hermus pitched the first four innings and got the win for Kimberly. He allowed three hits, two runs, walked one and struck out three. Braeden Hermes pitched three innings and allowed three hits, one run and struck out four.
Zander Martin took the loss for Appleton East.
Hortonville 8, Oshkosh North 2
OSHKOSH – The Polar Bears led 3-0 through four innings and then broke open the game against the Spartans with a five-run fifth innings keyed by a two-run single by Gary Wuest.
Brock Wolter and Wuest both drove in two runs for Hortonville. Derek Baumbach, Jack Tennie and Wuest each had two hits.
Isaac Behnke pitched the first five innings, allowing four hits, one walk and two unearned runs while striking out four to get the win.
Matthew Tank pitched the final two innings for Hortonville.
Appleton North 7, Oshkosh West 5
APPLETON – The Lightning rallied from a 4-1 deficit with four runs in the fifth inning and two in the sixth to defeat the Wildcats.
Brennan Otto had three hits and two RBIs for Appleton North. Nathan Ramus had three RBIs. Logan Gross had two hits.
Colin Reddy pitched the first 5⅓ innings, allowing four unearned runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out seven.
Isaak L’Esperance pitched the final 1⅔ innings and got the win for Appleton North.
Neenah 11, Appleton West 1
NEENAH – The Rockets scored six runs in the first inning and three more in the second in cruising to the win over the Terrors.
Neenah, which finished with 12 hits, also took advantage of four Appleton West errors and five walks.
Quinn Meyers took the loss for Appleton West.
Xavier 12, Wautoma 6
WAUTOMA – The Hawks built a 12-1 lead through 5 1/2 innings before the Hornets rallied with five runs in the sixth inning.
Xavier had nine hits and benefited from five errors and six walks by Wautoma pitchers.
West Bend West 12, St. Mary Catholic 0
WEST BEND – The Spartans scored their runs on eight hits in the win over the Zephyrs.
Caleb Vogel had a double for St. Mary Catholic.
St. Mary Catholic pitchers Max Kubicki and Aaron Ruppert both pitched two innings and each allowed six runs.
New London 12, Wrightstown 7
WRIGHTSTOWN – The Bulldogs, who led 6-5 after five innings, scored four runs in the sixth inning and two in the seventh to defeat the Tigers.
Chase Carter drove in three runs for New London. Dane Meyer, Garret Clegg and Troy Degeneffe each drove in two runs. Cale Adamovich and Meyer each had three hits.
Rogan Thompson had two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs for Wrightstown.
Logan Ten Haken pitched the first five innings and got the win for New London. He allowed four hits, three earned runs and struck out six.
Preston Nowak took the loss for Wrightstown.
Notre Dame 10, Winneconne 5
WINNECONNE – The Tritons scored three runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to pull away after the Wolves had closed to within one run after five innings.
Jacob Reineking had two hits, including a double and a triple, and scored three runs for Notre Dame. Tripp Wroblewski had a double, triple and two RBIs. Kyan Redling had two hits, including a double, and drove in a run.
Dallas Walker and Logan Binder had two hits for Winneconne. Aaron Zimmer drove in two runs.
Colson Kleinschmidt took the loss for Winneconne.
SOFTBALL
Kimberly 16, Appleton East 3
APPLETON – A pair of seven-run innings helped propel the Papermakers past the Patriots in Fox Valley Association action.
Sophie Hermus, Kunst and Olivia Paveletzke had three hits each, including doubles by Paveletzke and Kunst. Nevaeh Honick was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs, while Payton Schreiber and Paige Schreck added two hits each. Kunst and Hermus each drove in twor uns.
Reece Reichelt had two hits, including a double, for Appleton East. Grace Fecteau also had a double and an RBI.
The Patriots had led 1-0 after one and 2-0 after two before the Papermakers struck for seven runs in the third. After Appleton East scored one run in the bottom of the third, Kimberly answered with two in the fourth and seven in the fifth.
Schreck pitched four innings to get the win. She allowed four hits, three runs (two earned) and struck out two. Kendra Ruys pitched the final inning.
Neenah 11, Appleton West 0
APPLETON – The Rockets scored in every inning en route to the Fox Valley Association win.
Neenah scored four in the first, one in the second, four in the third, one in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Zoe Braun and Kaydence Gilbert had hits for the Terrors.
Xavier 7, St. Mary Catholic 1
APPLETON – The Hawks used a five-run fourth to take charge as they went on to win the nonconference matchup.
Xavier added single runs in the fifth and sixth, while the Zephyrs scored their lone run in the seventh.
Elsa Dvoracek led the Hawks, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, while Quinn Hervey was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, and Jennifer Lueck was 2-for-3. Elianna Riehl added two RBIs.
Sammi Weiss was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Zephyrs.
Morgan Staszak earned the win in the circle, pitching seven innings and allowing nine hits and one earned run while striking out four.
Freedom 14-17, Clintonville 4-8
CLINTONVILLE – Freedom scored the first 17 runs in the nightcap as the Irish cruised to the North Eastern Conference doubleheader sweep.
In Game 1, Freedom used a pair of big innings to overpower the Truckers.
After falling behind 4-2 after one inning, the Irish scored one in the second, five in the third and six in the fourth.
Jovie Smith helped power the Freedom offensive attack, going 2-for-4 with a double, home run and four RBIs, while Jaylin Gribble was 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBIs. Kingsley Klug added a double and two RBIs for the Irish.
Jessa McArtney earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing eight hits, four earned runs and two walks while striking out seven.
Payton Johnson was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Marley Tauferner doubled and drove in two runs for Clintonville.
In Game 2, the Irish scored five in the second, six in the third, three in the fourth and three in the fifth. The Truckers scored all eight of their runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Addison Murphy led Freedom with three hits, including two doubles, while Breanna Dallmann added two hits, including a double and two RBIs.
Emily Hagman and Johnson had two hits each for Clintonville.
Denmark 10-15, Little Chute 0-0
LITTLE CHUTE – Shaelyn Kraschnewski was 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs in the opener, and then went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and four runs scored in Game 2 as the Vikings earned the North Eastern Conference sweep.
Also leading Denmark were Vanny Umentum, who was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, and Hazel Fields, Brynn Delarwelle and Rebekah Dittmer, all with two hits.
Delarwelle earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing two hits and one walk while striking out four.
Bella Pfrang led the Mustangs with a double.
In the nightcap, Fields and Dittmer had two hits each for the Vikings.
Delarwelle earned the Game 2 win as well, pitching four innings and allowing four hits and one walk with three strikeouts.
Little Chute was led by Abigail Zouski, who was 2-for-2.
Wrightstown 5-5, Luxemburg-Casco 4-13
WRIGHTSTOWN – The Spartans scored multiple runs in three innings as they earned a split in their North Eastern Conference doubleheader.
In the opener, the Tigers rallied from a four-run deficit, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Molly Ruebl was 3-for-4, while Bryn Amundson and Madelyn DeCleene were both 2-for-3 for Wrightstown.
The Spartans grabbed a 1-0 lead after two and stretched it to 4-0 in the top of the third. The Tigers answered with two in the bottom of the third, two in the fourth and one in the seventh.
Gracie Jandrin, Stella Schleis, Claire Schleis and Karsyn Walyczyk all had three hits, while Alayna Deprez had two for Luxemburg-Casco.
The Spartans outhit the Tigers 15-12.
In the nightcap, Luxemburg-Casco scored one in the first, six in the third, two in the fourth and four in the fifth.
Wrightstown scored two in the first, two in the fifth and one in the seventh, but fell short.
The Tigers were led by Charlie Bowker, who was 3-for-3; Layla Beyer, who was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs; and Molly Ruebl, who was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Waupaca 13-13, Oconto Falls 2-7
OCONTO FALLS – Hailey Bechard drove in nine runs in the nightcap to help power the Comets to the doubleheader sweep in North Eastern Conference action. Bechard was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a home run.
In Game 1, A.J. Koran was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and Lily Cichy was 2-for-3 with four RBIs as the Comets pulled away in the fourth and fifth innings.
Waupaca led 2-1 after two, 4-1 after three, and 9-2 after four. The Comets then scored four in the fifth to put a premature end to the game.
Autumn Schmidt was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Waupaca.
Emalee Beyersdorf earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing five hits, two runs (one earned) with two walks and three strikeouts.
Amelia Danielczak led the Panthers, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In Game 2, Waupaca scored one in the first, four in the second, two in the third, three in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Oconto Falls scored two in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth and one in the sixth.
Koran was 2-for-5 with an RBI for the Comets.

De Pere’s Noah Zhang took first in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.75. Tyler Hancock won the 110 hurdles with a time of :14.82. Noah Vander Heyden won the long jump with a jump of 21-2.5.
Pulaski’s Max Fredrickson won the 400 with a time of :50.52. Parker Marshall won the 1,600 with a time of 4:37.14. Keaton Dauk took first in the 300 hurdles with a time of :38.38. Pulaski turned in a time of 3:24.26 to win the 1,600-meter relay.
Little Chute’s James Thiel took first in the discus with a throw of 179-8. Teammate Elijah Driessen won the pole vault at a height of 12-6.
Bay Port’s Max Stascak won the 100 in :11.13.
Green Bay West’s Isaiah Hester took first in the 200 in :22.30.
Kaukauna’s Hunter Meyers won the shot put with a toss of 52-10.
Appleton North’s time of 8:28.79 was good for first in the 3,200-meter relay.

Pulaski’s Olivia Sprangers was a winner in the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :12.51 and :24.88, respectively. Pulaski also got a win in the 800-meter relay.
Appleton North picked up wins from Ava Helmbrecht in the 400 with a time of 1:00.43, Sophia Busch in the 800 with a time of 2:21.35, Eva Busch in the 3,200-meters with a time of 10:47.50.
Appleton North also won the 400- and 1,600-meter relays.
Kaukauna’s Madison Koschnik won the high jump with a jump of 5-2.
Ashwaubenon’s Lera Black took first in the pole vault at a height of 13-0. Black also won the triple jump with a jump of 36-7. Jamyana Witte won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :14.80.
Green Bay West’s Adriana Moyano won the long jump with a leap of 16-11.75.

Winneconne captured the title with eight first-place finishes in individual events and two in relay events.
Brody Schaffer took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of :10.98 for Winneconne and the long jump with a jump of 22-3.75. Schaffer also teamed with Karter Hawthorne, Mason Mathe and Koltyn Kachur to win the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:29.84. Kachur, Cailin Yingling, Logan Wolf and Luke Fuller won the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3:27.57. Hudson Samolinski captured the shot put and discus with a shot put of 58-3 and a discus throw of 165-4, respectively. Colton Tisler won the high jump at a height of 6-4. Trey Zemke won the pole vault at a height of 14-0. Grant Wenzelow won the 800 with a time of 1:57.30. He also won the 1,600 with a time of 4:28.32.
Xavier’s Ben Kappell won the 200 with a time of :23.68.

Freedom’s Ashley Hietpas won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :15.17 and teammate Jessa Jochman took first in the 300 hurdles with a time of :50.00. Brooke Sowinski won the long jump with a jump of 16-4. The Irish quartet of Gabriella Hambel, Marisa Greiner, Mara Janssen and Ella Wagner won the 1,600 with a time of 4:11.55.
Xavier’s Grace Hackl won the 400 with a time of :59.15. Caroline Basehoar won the pole vault at a height of 12-0. Brooke Vande Hey won the triple jump with a jump of 34-3.5.
